These are the unaltered entries that I made in my journal before I cried myself to sleep on the nights of September 10th and 11th September 2001.
September 10, 2001 My husband left me tonight…but life goes on…God being my helper. I will not be defeated!! I will not worry…for it changes nothing…My God promises that He will supply all my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. I will stand on that Word. Yes, I cry for what is lost. I cry…but only when I focus on my situation without factoring God into my situation. But with God, I know that all things are possible! Because Jesus is alive and real…I know the end of this story…I WIN!!!!!†
September 11, 2001 The scene is so horrific, surreal, and apocalyptic. The World Trade Center Towers, the pentagon…airplanes crashed into these buildings. Towers actually collapsed! untold number of people dead, maimed, missing, in hospitals, trapped…there is chaos in America…satan is celebrating as is his job to manipulate us to seek, kill, steal, and destroy each other. My God, come soon Lord Jesus….mankind is not doing well on it’s own at all. Reports of mothers and fathers killing their children…signaled to me the beginning of the end to life as we once knew it…i knew it had to get worse. And today…it has… All that has happened today…makes my concerns seem scrawny and trivial.
So my husband left me last night…I sit here typing—updating my website in the comfort of my home. Many, because of the events of this day, will never come home again. I mourn not for the seeming death of my marriage, but with my nation…my people…the hopes, dreams, lives lost. And I cry with those who love them whose lives will be forever changed because of the events of this day. God strengthen, hold in the palm of Your hands, those that will be unable to sleep tonight, those who are crying out to you for mercy and to bring their loved ones home. Please give us what we need at the exact moment that the need arises…the things that we need that we cannot give to ourselves like peace in the midst of the turmoil, your perspective, courage, and fearlessness. For you have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. And, God thank you that you will render justice on behalf of your people.

“Stanice is a powerful speaker, an inspirational woman, and a good friend. She believes in her purpose in life and is driven to succeed while helping others at the same time. I highly recommend her in any aspect.” ZANE, Owner of Strebor Books
“Stanice Anderson is a master motivator, encourager, and one of the most engaging speakers I have heard in any forum. We were captivated. It was an INCREDIBLE experience. We laughed a lot, but were also reduced to tears at points. She makes powerful parallels and connections to emotional and spiritual battles that all of us experience. We were led to tear off masks, dare to be real and transparent after spending time with Ms. Anderson.” Bernice Mayfield, Heritage Church
‘‘What Stanice has done is reconfigure her life, her triumphs and sorrow, through art in a way that takes us to unspeakable uplift.” Karen Evans, Founder & President, Black Women Playwrights’ Group
I believe the impossible is highly probable and that the possible is just too easy for God anyway. Stanice Anderson, WALKING ON WATER WHEN THE GROUND AIN’T ENUF
You are on the threshold of spiritual breakthrough, and the enemy is frantically doing all he can to keep this from happening. You are a threat to his invasion. Watch closely for his intrusion into your life through circumstances, interaction with others, and even your own thoughts and emotions. Give him no ground whatsoever. Resist him at every turn, and he will flee, says the Lord. That is a promise!
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
(c) 2010, Marsha Burns, SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND
My God, this blessed me this morning. Thank you and sharing with whoever has a ear; let ‘em hear, grab The Word and Run On.
SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns — Nov. 13, 2009: Every deterrent is being blown away by the wind of My Spirit. And, in this new season you will begin to see and experience My presence in a more powerful way. As you allow distractions to be swept away and your focus on Me to be uninterrupted, you will enter this time of spiritual vitality and growth. There is an air of expectancy in the realm of the spirit. Go forth with a sense of purpose and boldness, says the Lord.
Psalms 138:3 In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.

I am process of readying manuscript for my next book which is Walkin’ On Water When The Ground Ain’t Enuf: Getting Through Times with Amazing Faith. My son and I publishing through my company, Shout Glory. Tired waiting on publishers to deem my work worthy of publishing. 7 years and 6 book proposals & sample chapters later; this new book one will start my new life as a publisher. Afterall, God impresses upon my heart that it’s worthy- and I am in total agreement–especially in times like these. Me and millons of others like me, are holding on; trying to make our way, trusting God, and refusing to give up. We need to get through and it will take amazing faith–a walking-on-water faith to reach the other side. My prayer is that my new book will be part of the solution and crush the problem. So I’m calling all Water-Walkers and Water-Walker Wannabes, let’s do this thing! You feel me?
Who I Am
I'm an author, inspirational speaker, vocalist, and performance artist. I was a heroin addict saved from myself and the lifestyle (with all the pain that comes with it) but the mercy and grace of God. Thus, I am a late bloomer; but blooming none-the-less. I've yielded every talent given me, and am now using them to encourage, inspire, and motivate others to discover and lives God's marvelous plans for their lives. My books include my latest, Walking On Water When The Ground Ain't Enuf; I Say A Prayer For Me: One Woman's Life of Faith and Triumph (Warner); 12-Step Programs: A Resource Guide For Helping Professionals; and Contributing Author of SistahFaith: Real Stories of Pain, Truth and Triumph compiled by Marilynn Griffith (Howard/Simon&Schuster). I also perform a one-woman show with comedy infused throughout. It's who I am--by God's grace--one woman on a journey toward unwavering faith.
