“Stanice is a powerful speaker, an inspirational woman, and a good friend. She believes in her purpose in life and is driven to succeed while helping others at the same time. I highly recommend her in any aspect.” ZANE, Owner of Strebor Books
“Stanice Anderson is a master motivator, encourager, and one of the most engaging speakers I have heard in any forum. We were captivated. It was an INCREDIBLE experience. We laughed a lot, but were also reduced to tears at points. She makes powerful parallels and connections to emotional and spiritual battles that all of us experience. We were led to tear off masks, dare to be real and transparent after spending time with Ms. Anderson.” Bernice Mayfield, Heritage Church
‘‘What Stanice has done is reconfigure her life, her triumphs and sorrow, through art in a way that takes us to unspeakable uplift.” Karen Evans, Founder & President, Black Women Playwrights’ Group
I believe the impossible is highly probable and that the possible is just too easy for God anyway. Stanice Anderson, WALKING ON WATER WHEN THE GROUND AIN’T ENUF

If I fall asleep with a pen in my hand, don’t remove it – I might be writing in my dreams.” (Terri Guillemets) – from Kendra Norman-Bellamy’s FB page

Deborah Baldwin & her daughter, Davida (retro)
Face Book has a million quotes a second being generated–I’m sure–at least! But sometimes I come across one that transports my mind and heart to another place. That happened to me today with this one: “If I fall asleep with a pen in my hand, don’t remove it – I might be writing in my dreams.” (Terri Guillemets)
This quote made me think of my long-time friend, Deborah Baldwin, who one night, while laying in her bed writing, fell into an eternal sleep. When Deborah was found the next morning by her daughter, she was slumped over the page like a wilted rose, but with the pen still in her hand as if writing. It was like Death interrupted her before she could write her next words. However this quote made me wonder, perhaps Deborah’s next words were written and stored in Heavenly places. Perhaps In the twinkling of an eye, the spiritual body and language changed; so what she saw, felt, and heard in those last moments rendered words impossible and obsolete.* Afterall, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (1 Corinthians 5:8)
My friend and Davida’s mother, Deborah, prayerfully waited years for a kidney–that never came. She loved and she was loved. She was needed. Deborah is terribly missed!
Won’t you consider donating a kidney? All your questions answered on the National Kidney Foundation’s END THE WAIT! Campaign website.

Did I turn 60 or did 60 turn me?
I turned 60 on Flag Day. Yeah, right when is that? June 14th. I can hardly believe I am 60. I never imagined myself at 60. I went on a quest for a major makeover which I am in the process of now. So far so good. It’s a good time for this.
I thank God I made it to 60 for real. For the first 1/2 of my life I was headed into a speeding bullet; but God met me on one of the worst nights of my life and gave me other options. Revolutionized my life. Grace and mercy allowed me to see 60 and the rich life that comes with it.

Kenni Ford, Celebrity Hair Stylist

Kendrell Wingfield, Loctician/Hair Stylist
All stages of the search and execution for the flyest loc cut completed. My Tarnished Tiara off to Celebrity Hair Stylist, Kenni Ford (Largo, MD) and Loctician extraordinaire Kendrell Wingfield (Healthy Beginnings, Hyattsville, MD, she also works with all hair, locs included). While separate entities; with me as bridge they worked as a team with Kenni (speciality hair cuts & color) and Kendrell taking the look to completion with loc maintenance. Both are perfectionists who take believe in top class service for their clients.
You wanted photos? Worth a thousand and one words . . .

After Cut & Color by Kenni and Loc Maintenance by Kendrell

My goal was a cut that was bold, edgy, jazzy, classy, asymetrical with a new millineum twist. When you experienced my cut, you would not say with sadness and disbelief, “Aww, I can’t believe it. You cut your locs.” I wanted response that would be more like, “WOW, Girl, those locs are CUT! Who? What? How? When?” I know that Kenni caught the vision, worked her magic, and even exceeded my expectations! Kendrell also caught the vision and put the icing on the proverbial cake!
Both stylist have pages on FB; just tell them that Stanice recommended. I welcome your thoughts and comments. Excuse me while i go out and enjoy the owwws and ahhhhs of Loc Heaven.
Who I Am
I'm an author, inspirational speaker, vocalist, and performance artist. I was a heroin addict saved from myself and the lifestyle (with all the pain that comes with it) but the mercy and grace of God. Thus, I am a late bloomer; but blooming none-the-less. I've yielded every talent given me, and am now using them to encourage, inspire, and motivate others to discover and lives God's marvelous plans for their lives. My books include my latest, Walking On Water When The Ground Ain't Enuf; I Say A Prayer For Me: One Woman's Life of Faith and Triumph (Warner); 12-Step Programs: A Resource Guide For Helping Professionals; and Contributing Author of SistahFaith: Real Stories of Pain, Truth and Triumph compiled by Marilynn Griffith (Howard/Simon&Schuster). I also perform a one-woman show with comedy infused throughout. It's who I am--by God's grace--one woman on a journey toward unwavering faith.
