“Stanice writes for everybody, with a wisdom about the central truths in everybody’s life — to belong in the world, to be loved.” Patrice Gaines, Author & former Washington Post Reporter
“Stanice is a powerful speaker, an inspirational woman, and a good friend. She believes in her purpose in life and is driven to succeed while helping others at the same time. I highly recommend her in any aspect.” ZANE, Owner of Strebor Books
“Stanice Anderson is a master motivator, encourager, and one of the most engaging speakers I have heard in any forum. We were captivated. It was an INCREDIBLE experience. We laughed a lot, but were also reduced to tears at points. She makes powerful parallels and connections to emotional and spiritual battles that all of us experience. We were led to tear off masks, dare to be real and transparent after spending time with Ms. Anderson.” Bernice Mayfield, Heritage Church
‘‘What Stanice has done is reconfigure her life, her triumphs and sorrow, through art in a way that takes us to unspeakable uplift.” Karen Evans, Founder & President, Black Women Playwrights’ Group
I believe the impossible is highly probable and that the possible is just too easy for God anyway. Stanice Anderson, WALKING ON WATER WHEN THE GROUND AIN’T ENUF
The masks must go. First, we have to get in touch with our truth which lies closer to the the surface than you may think, beneath the mask. For me, it started with asking God and meaning it, “Show me, Lord.” A lot of times it was another person, even sometime unbeknownst to them that they were being used by God–that God used to put that truth so in my face that all I can humbly mutter to myself, “God, you must be in this somewhere, answering my prayer.” Somewhere between the Dear God and the Amen, the Holy Spirit kicked into His Helper stance and empowered me to do the big girl stuff, which was to allow the wound to be totally uncovered acting on my belief that since -Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted–who at any given moment is me–then all will be well.
I would love to be considered as an inspirational speaker/performing artist for any events during and after National Recovery Month. I have been clean and free from the bondage of active heroin addiction for 24 years and counting–one day at a time. So long-term recovery is possible! And women do recover!! I am a witness.
I am author of memoir I SAY A PRAYER FOR ME: One Woman’s Life of Faith and Triumph (Walk Worthy Press/Warner Books), as well as a one-woman show, Walkin’ On Water When the Ground Ain’t Enuf, which I perform. On February 2, 2010, Howard Books/Simon & Shuster, releases a new book, SistahFaith: True Stories of Healing and Hope, compiled by Marilynn Griffith, which contains a few of my life-stories.

This came to mind as I chatted it up with my precious Canadian friend today. I dedicate this to all of us who have days when we don’t know what to do:
As children bring their broken toys,
with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God,
because He is my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help,
with ways that were my own.
At last, I snatched them back again
and cried, “How can you be
Who I Am
I'm an author, inspirational speaker, vocalist, and performance artist. I was a heroin addict saved from myself and the lifestyle (with all the pain that comes with it) but the mercy and grace of God. Thus, I am a late bloomer; but blooming none-the-less. I've yielded every talent given me, and am now using them to encourage, inspire, and motivate others to discover and lives God's marvelous plans for their lives. My books include my latest, Walking On Water When The Ground Ain't Enuf; I Say A Prayer For Me: One Woman's Life of Faith and Triumph (Warner); 12-Step Programs: A Resource Guide For Helping Professionals; and Contributing Author of SistahFaith: Real Stories of Pain, Truth and Triumph compiled by Marilynn Griffith (Howard/Simon&Schuster). I also perform a one-woman show with comedy infused throughout. It's who I am--by God's grace--one woman on a journey toward unwavering faith.
